Dancing Queen

After a six month hiatus, we returned to dance combo (jazz, tap, and ballet) at the Dance Academy of SLO. Since we're slowly transitioning away from afternoon nap (we're fortunate that our 4-year old is still napping!), it's a better time on our free Fridays to resume dance. She's been doing so much spontaneous dancing on her own and since we've only been committed to swimming, we figured it was time for her to do something else that was fun during the summer months.
This was a different teacher than the one she previously had. P told me after class that she "couldn't do what they were doing." I told her not to worry, that it was her first day back after a very long time. I felt that this teacher, Ms. Harmony, was more fast-paced than Ms. Kelly and didn't do as much one-on-one (even though there was only 2 of them in class!!) as before. Overall, she really enjoyed it and wanted to go back, so that's a good sign. I think she's outgrown her leotards and shoes, though...something I wasn't counting on so quickly. Oy!
